Additional Sun Odyssey 349 Options

The Sun Odyssey 349 will come with a choice of keel options and there are three rig configurations and even three head sail options including a self-tacking gib.
The cockpit is clear and clean for easy sailing short handed and is not crowded even with 7 or 8 people aboard. The range of sail plans allow you to tailor the boat to the sailing you’re wanting to enjoy and as all lines lead back to the cockpit it’s safe and easy to control.

Below deck the new Sun Odyssey continues to impress, the boat has either one or two aft cabins options with a separate double forward cabin, a large head compartment with holding tank and power shower, L shape galley with lots of storage and a full size cooker with oven make staying aboard comfortable and practical for extended cruising.

    The Large cockpit with floor storage and twin wheels is again a mark of her Sun Odyssey pedigree.

    Simple rig with twin aft swept spreaders means you don’t have back stays, the running rigging is arranged to come back to the two winches positioned at the helm making her easy to sail short or singled handed.

    Wide side decks, flush hatches and a large fore deck area make moving around safe and easy.

    The cockpit table and folding transom options help make the most of this Jeanneau Sun Odyssey boasting her superb design.

     

     

     

    Versatility

    The standard deep fin keel draft is 1.98 meters with a large bulb making her very efficient.  For shallower access areas Jeanneau have produced two options

    • The Shoal Draft Keel, a heavier, slightly longer keel with a draft of 1.49 meters
    • The hydraulic lift keel, a cast iron keel with a draft of 2.54 meters when down and just 1.26 meters when lifted

    The lift keel version is capable of taking the ground and has beaching legs options for added stability when dried out.

    The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349 gives you an instant impression of volume.  Her 3.44 meter beam is taken well aft, allowing for single or twin aft cabin layouts offering generous berths with standing headroom of over 1.9 meters.

    The large L shaped galley is very well equipped with resin counter tops and stainless steel fittings to give a real quality feel to her.  There is a large refrigerator with ice cube box and a stainless steel oven with a grill and a two burner stove with electric ignition.  An abundance of cupboards with provision for a microwave are all lined in rich teak  colour wood and the aft opening port above the cooker for affords good ventilation which completes this well designed galley area.

    The saloon has a large table with folding leaves that allow you to sit either side seating 6 with ease.  Large hull ports give a view to the sea and add natural light to the cabin.
