Jeanneau announce three new sail boat models for 2018, the 8th generation of Sun Odyssey is born!
The new entry level boat, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 319 has been announced and she is a true Sun Odyssey with wheel steering as standard, a chine hull with twin rudders for optimum sailing performance.
She is powered by an inboard Yanmar engine, she has two keel options available, the standard fixed fin and a swing keel as an option.
Below decks there are two separate cabins and two saloon berths so can sleep 6 people. The L shaped galley has a refrigerator, full size cooker and separate head compartment giving everything you could need on a 31 footer. Her large hull port and deck hatches flood her interior with natural light and give her the unmistakeable DNA of a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey.
Two very exciting new models are launched this season and mark a new generation for the brand.
The New Sun Odyssey 440
And the New Sun Odyssey 490
Both models have completly re designed hulls, decks and interiors. They are set to become the benchmark for performance cruising boats. Designed by Philippe Briand, the boats have the full length chine, twin splayed rudders on floating bearings which provide finger tip control and stability under sail.
The new cockpits can convert to large sun decks when you are lounging at anchor and the side decks have been designed with slopes to take you seamlessly from cockpit to side deck without the need to step over coamings.
Below deck the new designer for Jeanneau, Jean Marc Piaton has developed interiors with new wood finish and textile wall options normally only available on custom built yachts. The cupboards are curved and have soft close button making less locking and linings to shelves and cupboards to reduce noise on board.
These yachts have been designed and built for extended stays on board, the new central galleys with full size appliance options, huge navigation stations and the big rectangular beds make this a whole new class of yacht.
